Meet Dr. Hurd

Brian Hurd, DDS
“Orthodontics is about creating straight, beautiful, and functional smiles, but it is also about the satisfaction that comes from helping other people. It has made me a better person by seeing the interaction of family members from so many varied backgrounds and cultures and has given me a greater appreciation for all the people I have in my life. I love seeing each and every one of our patients feel good about their smile.”
Dr. Brian Hurd attended the University of Toronto, graduating with honours in 1973 with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. He interned at the Hospital for Sick Children for one year and then returned to study the specialty of orthodontics. Following two years of post-graduate education at the University of Toronto, he was certified as an orthodontic specialist in 1976. Upon graduation, he moved to Burlington to set up his practice.
Dr. Hurd is dedicated to continuing his education by attending courses and seminars throughout the year. This participation enables him to be in touch with the latest educational and professional concepts in the orthodontic profession. He is also committed to the future of orthodontics and is a clinical instructor in the graduate department of the University of Toronto.
